Poem 6

Breathable, my senses blown,
Inhale you to be intoxicated,
Drift away into empty nights,
Your presence denies me.

Every colour has a name,
What shade do you find,
Wrapped up in harmless offerings,
Let me glow and grow.

It’s unspeakable what I say,
Across a universe of noise,
This sound is defenseless,
Making itself sharply known.

Confusion is paramount,
Which truthful way to turn,
I’m lost in your hearty soul,
Dreams release my comprehension.

One day everything known,
Release me from servitude,
I’m my own distant person,
Free to feel peace eternally.
